The Parable of the Talents Matthew 25:14 - 25:18
“For it is just like a man going on a journey.
He called his own slaves and turned over his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents; to another, two; and to another,
one—to each according to his own ability. Then he went on a journey. Immediately the man who had received five talents
went, put them to work, and earned five more. In the same way the man with two earned two more. But the man who had received
one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground, and hid his master's money.”

What God given talents have you
been given? Are you using them for God’s
purpose or hiding them away like money in a mattress? Epiphany's contemporary worship team is always looking for people with talents both large and small for our
weekly live praise band. We play during
the 11 am Sunday service, are always looking for great new songs to add, and would love to expand until our sound technician
stays up all night trying to figure out how to add enough microphones! If you can keep a beat, we can use you; if you
can keep a tune, we can use you! Our vision is to build an army of heavenly voices in a contemporary praise team choir. If
you can tune an instrument (and hopefully play it too), we can use you!
Even if you can't keep a beat, keep a tune or tune an instrument we can use you! We are always looking
for dedicated people willing to help behind the scenes in the sound booth with audio and/or visual aspects of the service.
We are always looking for good ears, listening to sources of great new songs. If you hear something that moves your heart
or head, send us the title and artist of the song so we can give it a spin as well. Some of us are given big talents like the man with 5 coins while others
are given smaller talents; but ALL are given talents. If
you feel your talents are a good fit for this ministry, we'd love to hear from you. Note that we expect regular
church attendance, attendance at our Tuesday evening rehearsals as well as a pre-service rehearsal on Sunday's starting
at 9:30 am. For more information see James
McDowell following any of our Sunday services or send him an email at JamesMcDowell2@gmail.com
