Sometimes when we preach and proclaim the love of Christ to our family, friends, neighbors and co-workers, we use words. Most of the time, the message comes from our lives and the work of service to others. Our efforts include:
Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank
Here is a fellowship opportunity to assist with various needs of this food bank. Our volunteers meet at Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank two times per month, the 2nd Wednesday from 4:30-5:30pm and the 2nd Friday from 9-12:00pm, at 1368 N Arizona Ave, Ste 112, Chandler, AZ 85225. I-HELP
I-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) provides over 6,700 emergency shelter nights to homeless adults. A case management program connects homeless individuals to the vital resources, such as employment and housing needed to regain stability and break the vicious cycle of homelessness.
Volunteers buy food, cook it at home, and bring it to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on the first Thursday of each month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Holy Trinity is located at 739 W Erie ST, Chandler, 85225. Enter the Kitchen’s orange door off of Flint St. Volunteers then serve the meal, eat with clients, and clean up afterwards. The menu varies each month.
